she has the whole healthcare plan here. the register of our federal government predicted back in july of 2010 that 66 percent of all small employer plans will go away. that means you can't keep your small employer. 45 percent of large employer plans will go away and we now know about 16 of the 19 million individual plans will go away. forbes magazine did the math that's 93 million americans. am i right, betsy? >> don't forget to mad the m ad many seniors medicare advantage plans who received letters this month telling them their losing doctor because of the obama care cuts the medicare advantage plans are dropping the specialists that the seriously ill patients depend on. >> i have a small business i lost my plan. they gave me five options to look at. all five are worse than the option i had before that. the most comparable one is a 48 percent increase. i called the insurance company

if the changes in health insurance were in place when she was in fact diagnosed. take a look. >> i was diagnosed with cancer, had surgery by a gynecologic oncologist. after the surgery he said it is much worse than we thought. you have no more than six weeks to live. don't even try chemo you will die from the treatment of chemo. it won't even touch the cancer and that was it. >> she didn't accept that answer. she went to md anderson cancer center in houston for a second opinion. >> if she did not have that second opinion she wouldn't be able to participate in these interviews. oo if i was living in a country where you didn't have a choice to go to a specialist here i am today 7 years getting ready for 8 years this month. >> 8 years mean seeing her children grow up and the birth of her grandchildren. >> with this new change of insurance possibly going the way

it is going to go and the medical field the way it is going to go i would be scared to be in the shoes i was in when i was fighting cancer 7 years ago, very scared. i don't know if i would be talking to you right now. >> joining my the women you just heard from katherine hail and also in our studio audience is natalie willis who received notice her plan would be terminated and all of her new options would be more expensive and provide less coverage. thank you for being with us. thank you. >> katherine, i guess six weeks now has turned into 12 years, you are doing well? >> praise the lord, i am. >> where are you now? obama care you were one of the people speaking out very early on. you were on our universal nightmare special we had. where is your plan now? where are you with healthcare now? >> i have my own name. so-called no brainer fair

healthcare. we are able to compare apples to apples. my husband is still employed with the same small company. we are on the other side of 50. but no major changes in our lives. but our insurance life has changed. the good coverage wurpable -- were able to have is no longer available. there is a lesser tier of coverage available at a higher cost. the out of pocket is much higher. it is so high for some people that they are offering a gap coverage in 15 and 30,000 dollar increments so if you do become ill, have a heart attack, have a stroke you are not going to dip into your savings or lose your car or your home or tell your kids they can't go to college. >> what about you with your preexisting condition and the fact that you had had cancer? >> life insurance is not an

option. and as far as my care, i follow up care i receive at md anderson it will cost a lot more money. >> are you with the same employer? >> yeah t. we are able to compare apples to apples because employment situations are still the same. >> you are being offered less coverage increased premium increased deductible. how do you know this is directly related to obama care? is that the reason they are giving you occasionalhio fissi-. >> we have a nice pamphlet from the insurance company it doesn't directly say it but they don't have to. it does say the law man dates. there are little innuendos in there. go ahead. >> no, no. >> the other sad part about this

health insurance plan. it is very important i be insured when my husband left law school i had to get my own plan i found an insurer after i had been denied for some preexisting condition. i was accepted by my insurer. i carried a great plan. after i had my son i decided to step down and take the catastrophic plan so this plan had a $1,500 deductible and a 30,000 out of pocket maximum. i love my plan. didn't go on my husband's plan. great plan. so now all of the plans my insurer carries are canceled and have other plans. if i want the same premium i am paying now i will be doubling or tripling my deductible and doubling my out of pocket maximum. if i want to keep some sort of equivalent coverage i will be paying 40 percent more. there isn't equivalent coverage

with my insurer, so i am looking at either having to take something from the exchange. >> you have been on healthcare.gov. we have been trying for four weeks. >> for the california plan is okay. -- exchange is okay. doesn't work super great with my browser. it is okay. there are 30 pns available six different providers. i have gone and looked at each one individually checked what it would cover what hospitals i could go to but there's nothing that is the same. either way i will get way less care for the same amount of money or i have to pay more. >> i hope rick unger is paying attention in the background. i am going to beat him up about your case. you are 29 years old your husband works hard to become a lawyer. you built a great business. you are responsible. you want your own care. you want to keep your plan. you like your plan? it's not a crummy plan. >> if i wanted a plan that
